The current Supreme Court nomination process has been deeply shaped by several past nominations, including those of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. Dr. Christopher Wolfe, a professor of politics at the University of Dallas and constitutional scholar, will describe the politicization of the nomination process and why this was virtually inevitable, given current understanding of judicial power.
