The Catholic Church in Iraq

Anmar Oghanna, MBA, MS, and Sana Kandalan, MA, are a husband and wife from Ankawa, a Christian town in northern Iraq. They were chosen by Iraqi Archbishop Bashar Warda to study in the United States to prepare themselves better to serve the Church in Iraq.  

Their talk will address the history of Christians in Iraq, the historical and recent persecution of Iraqi Christians, and the Church’s efforts to maintain its presence there and in the Middle East.
