1990 Mass and Dinner with Justice Antonin Scalia

The Mass was celebrated at 6:30 p.m. by Bishop Grahmann (new to the Diocese) at the Cathedral.

After Mass, a private reception for about 25 people (primarily the STMS Board and the Bishop and Justice Scalia) was held in the Garden Room, Terrace level of the Fairmont. 

At 8:00, dinner was held in the Gold Room at the Fairmont.  Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia spoke at the dinner and was presented with the St. Thomas More Lifetime Achievement Award (a bronze bust of STM). 

Approximately 250 guests attended. 


The St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Dallas is open to Catholic attorneys and others interested in the intersection of faith and law.  Its purpose is to encourage Catholic lawyers within the diocese of Dallas to live a Christian vocation by sanctifying their daily work.  The St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Dallas is a Non-Profit Corporation and tax exempt under IRS 501(c)(3).
