CLE Ethics Seminar: Spirituality and Legal Ethics

The Society, in conjunction with the Institute for Religious and Pastoral Studies and the Center for Thomas More Studies, both of University of Dallas, offered this joint seminar for Catholic lawyers. 

For the Catholic lawyer, legal ethics should be grounded in holiness, conscience, and a respect for the dignity of each human being.  Using Church teachings, the Texas Code of Legal Ethics, adn practical experience, this course (1) provided a context for Catholic lawyers to examine the Texas Legal Code; (2) increased lawyer's understanding of hte state legal code; and (3) explored human dignity and conscience as the principles underlying the ethical practice of law. 

The State Bar of Texas approved 5.25 hours of Continuing Legal Education Credit for this seminar, including 3.0 hours of ethics credit.
