We lawyers sometimes help business clients consider the purposes behind their decisions. This raises questions for us: What is the purpose of business? How should that purpose affect the practice of business? We will consult personalist philosopher Karol Wojtyla (later St. John Paul II), confront contradictions in business thought, and conclude with tips to help us counsel our clients.
