The 2026 Red Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 5:00 PM at the National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. A dinner banquet will be held immediately following the Red Mass at the J.W. Marriott Dallas Arts District. This year's honoree will be United States Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Justice Kavanaugh will receive the St. Thomas More Award and will give an address at the dinner.
The Red Mass, which dates back to the 13th Century, offers an opportunity for lawyers, judges, government officials, scholars, and others working in the legal field to pray for wisdom and understanding in their work for the pursuit of legal justice. All members of the legal profession, regardless of religious affiliation, are welcome at the Red Mass.
After meeting St. Mother Teresa as a youth, Dallas resident Anand Bheemarasetti began organizing trips for Americans to visit Calcutta to work with the Missionaries of Charity. He has led over twenty such trips. In 2019, he began to find Calcutta in Dallas by organizing groups of volunteers to visit the homeless and elderly here locally. Anand will tell us about one of the fastest growing Catholic organizations in America, Project Finding Calcutta, which has had over 11,000 volunteers and is expanding into cities across the country.
